Assistant clergyChrist Church has been home to a wide variety of clergy in many roles: as occasional and regular visitors; and on the staff as assistant priests and honorary assistants. The following is only a small selection of the assistant priests of Christ Church.

| Seering John Matthews Father Matthews was John Hope’s curate, 1926-1929. He became Bishop of Carpentaria in 1960. | Charles William Whonsbon-Aston Sometimes referred to as “Whizz-Bang”, Father Aston was John Hope’s curate, 1929-1931. He served in the mission fields and was later Archdeacon of Fiji and Archdeacon of Polynesia in the 1960s. |

| Theodore Bruce McCall Father McCall was curate to John Hope in 1949-1951. He later became Bishop of Rockhampton in 1959 and translated to Wangaratta in 1963. | E W Bradley Father Bradley was a long-serving assistant to Father Hope from 1931 until 1943. |
