ConfirmationConfirmation is the Sacrament of the Church which gives us opportunity to Confirm the promises made at our Baptism. Publicly we declare that we "Turn to Christ; Repent of our Sins; Reject selfish living, and all that is false and unjust; and that we renounce Satan and all that is evil". After these promises are made and confirmed, the Bishop lays his hands on the head of the person to be confirmed and calls on the Holy Spirit to be stirred up within them to increase their faith and to defend them. Confirmation is our mature response to God and it is usual then to receive the Blessed Sacrament of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in the form of bread and wine.
We offer the sacrament of Confirmation once each year. Preparation begins during February or March, and concludes mid year. Weekly attendance at Eucharist during preparation time is compulsory. To be included in preparation for Confirmation please call the Parish Office during business hours: Phone (02) 9211 0560 or email
