We welcome you to ‘join us’ in a variety of ways:
At our services on Sundays or weekdays. This is our ‘core business’ of communal praise and thanksgiving to God and prayer for the needs of ourselves and our neighbours near and far.
For further information about any of the following please contact the parish office.
We have a wide range of services, as well as a meditation group, and we invite you to find any that suit you for their style or their scheduling. This Sunday’s services are listed here and our weekly service times are listed here.
If you cannot join us in person, it is possible to send in a prayer request, which you can do here.
By keeping in touch through our occasional electronic newsletter, the E-pistle. The E-pistle gives news of the church’s seasons and of events of special interest within the parish. You can sign up for it here.
By volunteering for one or more of the parish’s many activities. Our volunteers are essential both to the running of the parish’s day-to-day operations and to our outreach to the many visitors and disadvantaged people who find their way to our church. Our areas of volunteering appeal to a variety of temperaments and aptitudes, and in most cases the necessary skills can be learned on the job. For more information about ways that you can volunteer, please click here.
By joining our bellringing band. Our chime of bells is rung on Sundays and feast days, with practice on Tuesday evenings. No experience is necessary, but be warned: the ancient art of bell-ringing is addictive!
The Choir of Christ Church St Laurence has a high reputation. It consists of the Mass choir, which sings at 10.30 am on Sundays and at 6 pm on about a dozen feast days through the year, and the Evensong choir, which sings at 6.30 pm on Sundays.
